What the eye can't see.

The thing about sickness is that it is internal.
Whether it is in the body or in the mind
The pain
The discomfort
The mutation
Is all within, hidden away from the naked eye.
People battle disease and illness every day
And many of them go by without us knowing it.
The bodies of some people try to overcome infection
Of the blood, heart, stomach, liver, lungs..
An infection of the mind hardly seems significant to compare.

Just because you don't see the pain,
Witness the discomfort
Or understand this mutation
Doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
It only doesn't exist to you.
But it is real.
Real and hidden.
And the only way these things ever seem to become
Externalised is when it is all simply
Too late.
